We're quite happy to see that you feel so at HOME because of our culture, company paid benefits, recognition programs, and your fellow Prometheans. We're always looking for new ways to develop and further improve the work experience, and we will share your advice about portfolio shifting with our senior operations leaders.

The Sadly Departed

Pros

The culture, the people, the commitment and the benefits. Prometheus is one of those once in a lifetime companies that understand what it means to be both a corporation and a person, and not just in the eyes of the law (specifically campaign finance/ citizens united bleh). Prometheus has a heart, and through everything it does you can feel that it is the heart that is pushing it forward. It starts and ends every decision. Great coworkers, medical and dental FULLY covered and competitive incentives.

Cons

There are almost no legitimate cons to working at Prometheus Real Estate Group. And when Prometheus permeates a larger market share of the PNW there will be no cons, but unfortunately as competitive as the market is there isn't a lot of expansion. Which can cause stagnation, unless you're meant for the sunshine state to begin with!

Pros

Prometheus has spent plenty of money training me, and it's awesome. I am currently in training to become a Neighborhood Director (Property Manager) and I was also trained to train new Neighbor Ambassadors (Leasing specialists). Coming from someone with a master's degree in training and development, I know the importance of a company investing in training for their employees. Our training and development team is awesome, too. I really feel at home at work here with Prometheus.

Cons

I would say the biggest con is that the opportunities in the Portland area are limited. I really wish we had a satellite Home office for the Portland and Seattle area. We could have our own auditor, helpdesk, trainers, etc. I know people here would appreciate being able to grow into such positions and also having those resources available closer to home. Right now there are only two Portfolio Managers, and one Director of Operations for the whole Portland and Seattle area and those are the only positions available beyond the field. In the field all of the Neighborhood Directors are super tenured and have been in their position for years because nothing has opened up for them to move in to, which also means everyone else (Neighbor Ambassadors, and Assistant Neighborhood Directors) are stuck too. We have over 2,000 units in Portland and Seattle with another 625 in the pipeline. I think Prometheus should invest in creating jobs as much as they invest in preparing for us to take them.

Thank you for sharing your feedback on why you feel HOME at work here at Prometheus. As a privately held company, we have the freedom to invest in what we believe in. And we believe in our Prometheans. While our strategy is to focus most of our support services at our HOME Office, we hear your recommendation to create more jobs in the Pacific Northwest, and this is something we hope to deliver in the near future. We will be breaking ground on new Portland developments this year with even more to come. We hope these new Neighborhoods will provide exciting advancement opportunities for Prometheans in the Pacific Northwest. We are committed to growing from within, which is why we invest in Prometheans through some of the programs you mentioned like leadership training or train-the-trainer. We hope this combination of investments will create a work environment that you will want to continue to call HOME for years to come.
