Pros

I was with Prometheus for over 7 years. Prometheus is more than just a job. It's full of innovation, creativity, progress and a place I called HOME for years. You will be working with some of the best in the real estate industry. It's a personal and professional growth. I held leasing specialist, assistant and property manager positions. I was very greatful to be part of the "floating" team where I was exposed to so many different properties and teams. Such a great experience. The manager of this SOS team is phenomenal to say the Least!!!! Ben Olson (amazing), Debbie, Melanie, Stacy and so much more. Just amazing group of people that get you where you need to be if YOU have the determination. The opportunities are there!!! Growth is always available!!! Training for new hires is extremely successful. Such a great company to work for! You can't beat the benefits, the positive atmosphere and ultimately the great people. Loved my years here...so much more than just a JOB. It becomes a place you call HOME. Thank you Prometheus!

Cons

I do not have an cons at this time. Prometheus has so many great attributes and I recommend applying.

Pros

Prometheus has spent plenty of money training me, and it's awesome. I am currently in training to become a Neighborhood Director (Property Manager) and I was also trained to train new Neighbor Ambassadors (Leasing specialists). Coming from someone with a master's degree in training and development, I know the importance of a company investing in training for their employees. Our training and development team is awesome, too. I really feel at home at work here with Prometheus.

Cons

I would say the biggest con is that the opportunities in the Portland area are limited. I really wish we had a satellite Home office for the Portland and Seattle area. We could have our own auditor, helpdesk, trainers, etc. I know people here would appreciate being able to grow into such positions and also having those resources available closer to home. Right now there are only two Portfolio Managers, and one Director of Operations for the whole Portland and Seattle area and those are the only positions available beyond the field. In the field all of the Neighborhood Directors are super tenured and have been in their position for years because nothing has opened up for them to move in to, which also means everyone else (Neighbor Ambassadors, and Assistant Neighborhood Directors) are stuck too. We have over 2,000 units in Portland and Seattle with another 625 in the pipeline. I think Prometheus should invest in creating jobs as much as they invest in preparing for us to take them.

Thank you for sharing your feedback on why you feel HOME at work here at Prometheus. As a privately held company, we have the freedom to invest in what we believe in. And we believe in our Prometheans. While our strategy is to focus most of our support services at our HOME Office, we hear your recommendation to create more jobs in the Pacific Northwest, and this is something we hope to deliver in the near future. We will be breaking ground on new Portland developments this year with even more to come. We hope these new Neighborhoods will provide exciting advancement opportunities for Prometheans in the Pacific Northwest. We are committed to growing from within, which is why we invest in Prometheans through some of the programs you mentioned like leadership training or train-the-trainer. We hope this combination of investments will create a work environment that you will want to continue to call HOME for years to come.

Pros

Prometheus likes to grow and promote from within the company; however, it also invites and welcomes future Prometheans into our company. I believe that what allows for me to keep calling Prometheus Home is the fact that it is family oriented. It values employees families and provides 100% all covered benefits to Prometheans and their close loved ones

Cons

I have seen Prometheus grow in the 10 years I have been in the company. Any minor flaws are always corrected and improved.
