Pros

Good health benefits, great and hard working colleagues, you can learn from other teachers.

Cons

If you are a person of color do not work here or send your kids to this network. The school advertises a diverse by design model to get your attention and get you to join the school. Diverse by design is nothing but a buzzword in this network. Teachers and students of color are not supported. The principal of the elementary school is so out of touch with reality and makes people believe she is an ally until you push back on her Eurocentric and biased practices. The leadership team is not equipped to support teachers. If you want to grow and develop as an educator this is not the place for you. The only diversity you will see in this school is from their advertisement - in which they tokenizing people of color to be their spokesperson.

Pros

Prospect schools has a positive view in terms of education for the future generation.

Cons

The current CPO is completely out of touch in terms of leading or even guiding the network to the right path. They're extremely condescending and deflects majority of the questions asked to someone else within their team. I've spoken to one of their direct report recently and it's a complete mess in their people team as well. The CPO is extremely micromanging and disguises their arrogance as support. "How can I support you in this aspect" but continues to deflect responsibilities to other leadership when it's a question directed towards their team. There are a few responsible and great minds in the People's team, they're just being misguided by the wrong figure. To the CPO everything is just a KPI or looking to increase numbers without seeing the relevant cause or distress it causes to their own team. I would HEAVILY advise that this CPO either be removed or provided a proper leadership workshop where they're not reigning terror into the school networks or their own team.
