Laid off after nearly ten years. Sad, but not bitter.

Pros

Most of the employees truly live the mission statement and core values. The benefits and work-life balance are very good.

Cons

If you are part of the succession plan, you will have a tough time moving up. There is a disconnect between senior leaders and everyone else. It's a shame nothing is done about it.

Pros

There are none for this horrid place of corruption

Cons

Does not honor union contract-I am owed 5 years of back pay plus interest and penalties. Overworks certain employes while the favorites skate through not doing their assigned work. Allows racial, religious, and sexual discrimination. Allows rampant sexual harassment and bullys and blames the one harassed. Allows the patients to mistreat the staff. Certain doctors are shockingly verbally abusive to the staff causing the staff- especially nursing- to abuse the patients. Doctors never return their calls until too late. Does not honor education and higher credentials, only who has been there longer-Few managers have college degrees and 1/2 the staff do not know English on a high school level. They are sending the nurses to a diploma mill so they can get fake Bachelors degrees in desperate attempt to pretend they have some educated people. Hours are not given out fairly as managers allow their favorites to get OT while others get no hours at all. Never allows a way to get an uninterrupted lunch yet punishes the employee if they don't document one. They have been sued for this and lost. Doctors so full of themselves they do not allow staff to call on other MDs for orders in an Emergency. Doctors so uptight even basic emergency care cannot be given w/o an order-but they never call back so the pt often dies or suffers immensely. Yeah a great place to work. Yeah a great place for patients-can you detect the sarcasm?
