Hi,
I am really sorry to hear you didn't have a good experience here recently leading to your decision to leave. I regret that we didn't get a chance to discuss this while you were here.
I do not agree with your assessment of going on a "consultancy journey" being the core change. That is simply not the case.
The change that we are trying to drive is to become more customer centric, which is the inclusion of strategy and planning, thought leadership, user experience, and engineering, to service our clients. More and more of our clients expect these out of their partners.
For those clients who just seek engineering (or any other competency), we are happy to engage with them in that fashion and have continued to do so to this day. Once again, being customer centric.
Engineering is at the heart of our value proposition. That has not and will not change. What we seek to do is bolster that value through great design, business strategy, and innovative thinking enabled by intelligence and learning technologies.
If your belief is that "amazing technical solutions" are solely based on engineering in a vacuum, then you are right, Provoke is not the right place for you. All the best on your next adventure and thank you for the value you brought to Provoke while you were here!
