The culture was a big selling point to me before I joined. When you get hired you realize how the culture is explained and what it really is are two very different things. The company boasts about having an open, collaborative environment where ideas can be shared, employees can confide in leadership, opinions are heard, opportunities to grow are available and that employees are the top priority. I quickly learned that is not the case. Specifically, there is one person in leadership who manages by fear, threats, intimidation and bullying tactics. When these issues are brought to the President/CEO, he ignores them. People have been told that if they stand up to this person, they will be fired. He has been the cause for numerous people leaving the company. Rules do not apply to him and he thrives on creating conflict. There are some very smart, talented employees here that are not challenged or empowered. The company pride once found here is deflated. Now that we answer to an investment company we no longer have control over our destiny. That was proven with the recent RIF where many talented people were told that their jobs had been eliminated, even though growth and expansion was the #1 goal for 2016.

There is a person in leadership with no vision, intelligence or respect for people. His sole motivation is greed. He will berate people in meetings. Just a generally terrible person that pretty much destroys the culture that so many people try to create. Think if Donald Trump. Plus all signs point to him having an affair with an employee which adds an unnecessary dynamic of drama. His lack of vision would make us change direction for the company about every month which is too hectic and unsustainable for the people actually doing the work. Additionally all of his fleeting, stupid, short term ideas have failed.
