Good culture, not much upward mobility

Pros

Great culture, generally laid back management and atmosphere, lots of independence and new ideas are welcome. I work in the Operations Dept running the bidding software and it's a great job.

Cons

Not much vertical mobility at Proxibid, what you get hired for you will generally stay at. I would also agree with other characterizations, Proxibid does not seem to have much long-term vision, or it's not transmitted well to the underlings. It's a little lost.

You get out what you put in. If you come in, work hard, understand the strategic initiatives, and are an active participant in driving success then you will be successful. Everyone is open minded to new ideas and understand that to succeed you sometimes have to take risks and fail first. It is a challenging and satisfying environment for those that want to continue to develop and grow. You will learn something new everyday. Iteration is encouraged and it is empowering to know you have a seat at the table and get to work on solutions that are benefiting the company and industry. Moving to an agile development approach is speeding up velocity of new products to market. Flexible work environment, unlimited PTO Re-energized culture

Cons

Not all employees have a growth mindset - that is being worked on through continued development and training.

Executive team is transparent and open about company news/updates Access to executives - they are not hidden behind offices Great culture Challenging and rewarding work Smaller company = more opportunities to work on really cool projects even at lower levels - if you show the aptitude

Cons

operating in "start-up mode" isn't for everyone - not every personality is suited for the frenetic pace and has the sense of urgency required to work at a place like Proxibid
