The salaries and benefits for a non-profit organization are better than the rest of the market; healthcare benefits are top of the line Room for advancement or movement within programs

Cons

If you're working for one of the programs, not much interaction with the umbrella organization

Very good benefits and competitive salary. Work can be very interesting depending on your focus area/PI.

Cons

CEO is losing large contracts. There seems to be growing pains with too much oversight surround PI's. CEO is forcing non-PhD. candidates out of important roles.

Strong infrastructure in which to develop a project and feel secure in the organization that stands behind you. Wonderful benefits and competitive compensation.

Cons

The same structure and hierarchy that protects programs and projects can also stifle a project's ability to respond quickly to the shifting global health landscape. Has some of the typical challenges of working within a bureaucracy, for better of for worse.
