Pros

They offer a flexible work environment with a focus on good health at work.

Cons

My program had a contract with the State of California, which wad kind of a nightmare. The State had several of the most incompetent employees you could imagine but were able to take credit for the great work PHI employees did. It was really an us vs. them type of environment.

Pros

it is a very collaborative, democratic environment to work in. Each employee has the opportunity to do what is of most interest to him/her in his/her area of expertise.

Cons

funding is a problem. There is often an anxiety surrounding the ability or otherwise of getting a grant.
