Lots of potential, but missing the bravery and care it takes to truly have a great workplace culture.
Pros
If you fit in, come in with experience in a similar role, and stay quiet, you'll be fine. The COO is excellent and a true leader. He's a mover and a shaker who makes things happen. He also always has a fair/caring ear.
Cons
You have to keep in mind that this is a late stage start-up that is still getting it's feet under itself. They wont and are not equipped to provide you the training they claim they will provide to you, they will claim they care about you as a person while they constantly threaten you with needing to prove your value even when they say you're doing well. If you value DEI, the company is still a ways away from incorporating DEI, let alone understanding it at a foundational level across it's leadership. This company truly values your work, not your worth. You are a body to fill a space and do work and if you have any personal issues, you need to address it immediately or your "value" at the company is immediately questioned. If you dont fit in with the good ol boys, you for sure wont be well liked and you will be missed for promotional opportunities. I was told at one point "The executives and people leaders don't value your work regardless of how hard you work because they see you as different, its just how they are they only understand themselves."
