Pros

Smart staff, market brand, and benefits

Cons

Work life balance is a joke. They talk a good game but don't deliver. Salary and bonus are not based on contribution.

Pros

- People are great; environment is very supportive and collaborative - Campus Hire orientation in Orlando is a lot of fun and helps you meet a lot of life-long friends

Cons

- Required to work 350 hours over standard per year (on top of standard 8-hour days) - Very little influence on which projects you end up on - Difficult to move to different projects/sectors within the firm - Work in the Public Sector is almost entirely Project Management; not a lot of strategic or challenging projects

Pros

If you do your work you can skate by and remain a Senior Associate forever, since you have to be severely underperforming in order to get fired from the company. This was a major complaint that I had, since I was one of the individuals that always had to do 10X the work, due to underperformers who no one could count on.

Cons

Worked with PwC for almost five years. The company has some good individuals; however, over the course of five years I saw most, if not all of those highly skilled/qualified individuals leave for better opportunities due to the politics and lack of advancement offered at PwC. The company is all about how long you have worked somewhere, rather than what you have actually done to advance your project or company. They are also stubborn to feedback from the client. The clients provided direct feedback regarding individuals (e.g., Managers) who were not pulling their weight on the project, and nothing was done to resolve the situation and satisfy the client's complaints. If you want to work long days, nights, and weekends and see you salary get slight bumps each year, even if you are a top performer, then PwC is the company for you.
