Pros

Good benefits, will be making more money than your peers right out of college. Most people who work there are young and have great personalities. Fortunately, your co-workers can be the best part of the job, because the job itself is nothing to brag about.

Cons

Forced to work all the time. I am normally at the office minimum of 12 hours, even when we're not in "busy season." When I was recruited, they talked about work/life balance, which is a complete, utter lie. Your managers will freak out if you try to take vacation. You are expected to get work done most weekends, even though you've already sold your soul to them 55 hours minimum during the week. Most partners have ego problems, they remind me of people who were probably made fun of in high school and are now on a power trip because they made partner and they treat everyone else like dirt.

Pros

Excellent training opportunities. It is a great place to start one's career. The people there are consummate professionals. Great job.

Cons

Working with accountants on a daily basis is not always a good thing. Their focus on PFFs is extreme in my opinion, and actually hurts morale and productivity in many ways.

Pros

Great learning and development resources. Awesome resume booster, especially right out of school. Strong firm support to join professional organizations and obtain professional certifications like the PMP and CAPM. Caring leadership and friendly people to work with. Leadership cares about staff retention and offers ability to try new projects. Health benefits and overall firm blackberry program are excellent.

Cons

It's becoming increasingly more difficult to be promoted to Senior Associate. Many staff feel entering firm as a Senior Associate with at least two years of experience provides best opportunity for "fair market" compensation.
