Pros
Reviewer background: Graduated cum laude from a top 10 business program at a tier 1 SEC school. TL;DR - Not the worst place to start, but if you’re intellectually curious, anything past two years here is likely selling yourself short. Pros: People - Most at the SDC are bright, well-read, and personable. Education backgrounds are generally impressive, so odds are good that you’ll learn at least a little bit from your peers. Politics rears its head from time to time, but that’s to be expected anywhere. Overall, the vast majority of people here are capable of working in “Core” PwC (see Cons #1). Ice machines- They’ve got the the Hoshizaki ones that put out ice like they have at Sonic. Not too hard, not too slushy. 10/10.
Cons
Cons: Fundamentally exploitative business model, little room to develop relevant and marketable skillset, no upward mobility, ~75% of work consists of rote mechanical tasks that will probably be automated within the next 5-10 years.
