Toxic Environment + Poor Leadership = Disaster

Pros

I have to echo the fact that they still have some good and talented people remaining at Pyramid. Platform has real potential.

Cons

When I first joined Pyramid, I was filled with optimism about the company's potential. It was evident that they were on the brink of achieving something significant in terms of their product. However, my initial enthusiasm quickly gave way to disappointment as I witnessed the toxic culture and the absence of effective leadership hindering any meaningful progress. One glaring issue was the promotion of underqualified individuals solely because they were "yes" people, even when they were clearly ill-suited for their roles. This pattern of promoting subservience over competence was rampant and detrimental. The sales department, in particular, resorted to frequent firings as a misguided solution to problems that stemmed from poor sales leadership and a lack of accountability from the top. The company's priorities were completely misaligned, and instead of addressing and rectifying these issues, there was an atmosphere of constant blame-shifting. Even when solid data was presented to highlight the root causes, it seemed to fall on deaf ears. Frankly, it's astonishing that investors haven't intervened by this point. The workplace has devolved into a chaotic circus, and given the significant staff reductions this year, I wouldn't be surprised if the few remaining talented individuals decide to jump ship. One of the most frustrating aspects of working at Pyramid was the near absence of communication from the executive team. This only exacerbated the existing misalignment within the company. In summary, I strongly advise potential employees to exercise caution when considering Pyramid as their workplace. The initial promise of the company's product potential is overshadowed by a toxic culture, misguided leadership, and a concerning lack of communication from the top.

Stubborn leadership in Tel Aviv, little regard for international employees

Pros

We were compensated well. We had the best healthcare coverage imaginable. As a part of the go-to-market team (marketing, sales, customer success) we created our own culture and we worked together very well in a virtual environment.

Cons

Wave after wave of mass layoffs. They were sudden and (at least the most recent one) was timed to minimize health insurance benefits. We were let go at the end of the month, leaving us no chance to apply for ACA coverage. But corporate leadership doesn't care. Whether we put in 4 or even 8 years with the company,, all we got was a quick call with HR to let us know our positions had been eliminated. No further reasons. No thank yous. Nothing. Just horrible treatment on the way out. Beyond that, company culture was just plain bad. Like I say in my "pros" section we made our own culture and developed strong bonds within the marketing team because we had little to no real ties to the team in Israel. It's not for a lack of effort on our part, but leadership in Israel just seemed indifferent to developing that relationship with us in the United States. It was very apparent in the way they cut us all out of the picture in an abrupt and cold manner.
