Took a risk on me during a pandemic, communicated with client and me poorly

Pros

They reached out to me regarding a position. They actually eventually let me start. They would usually eventually pay me.

Cons

Took 3 Months from offer to start date. Was notified of start day of. Pay was bad without opportunity for advancement. Communication was very poor with client leading to rejected timecards and late payment. Would get mad when late timecard approval by client would lead to having to rerun payroll. Never actually learned how to take paid time off or sick time.

Occasionally a client puts a position on hold or delays based on their business need. This information is shared with the candidate, as we have a very open and transparent communications plan. The information you provided on the on-boarding is being shared with that team's leadership as it is not representative of our process. Although we strive to exceed consultant expectations, at times there may be other factors at play and we work to correct those. We hope that during your tenure, you brought these issues up to your CCA or HR Manager, as they could have addressed quickly.

Pros

Pyramid's dynamic team quickly identified an amazing opportunity for me and did a wonderful job of communicating with me as well as with their client to set up the required interviews, background checks and other requirements. They made all the paperwork and on-boarding processes smooth and easy.

Cons

One small 'con'. Unfortunately my main contact with Pyramid changed a few times over the time that I worked for them and there were 1 or 2 who were not as connected to their internal processes as others.

Pros

After three years of working with Pyramid, I can say that they allow contractors to work the projects the way they would like to complete them. The contractors set the tone and pace with their project leaders. This hands-off approach does not extend to their support. Pyramid is quick to answer any questions and escalate issues to the proper leadership. They also reach out regularly to their contractors to see if they need any help or assistance.

Cons

Even though I have worked for Pyramid for three years, I have never gotten a raise or been awarded any paid time off.
