Pros

Google perks (Not Qualitest), flexible schedule, new technologies, good in your resume.

Cons

Low salary to Bay Area, team lead has no idea what he’s doing, project manager either, no opportunity to grow (within 50 persons they decide to hire an external person for management position), no process, not enough support material. You don’t even know who is Qualitest management because they don’t exist for us, just to watch some useless webinars. HR doesn’t care about you and your salary, they won’t give you a raise (look like robots with pre programmed phrases).

Pros

Opportunity to work remotely for most contracts. "Unlimited" PTO but with a caveat. Decent job if you're inexperienced.

Cons

Absolutely corrupted with modern day politics to the point where it's inappropriate. There's clearly an agenda and it's rather demoralizing. Annual Review ratings are subject to a "bell curve"; high performers are essentially at the mercy of how other employees perform and it's very common to have review ratings "adjusted" (typically lowered). This does affect pay raises that are already rather low. Pay raises are typically less than 2% unless you're promoted and that in itself is very difficult unless you fit within the current agenda or a part of the current managements in group. In the US, you have 2 weeks to find a new contract before you’re subject to termination. This is contingent on QT winning new contracts. If you’re willing to relocate, you have 30 days to find a new contract. Understand that contracts can last anywhere between 4-6wks to 6months. The CEO has openly talked about raising the companies ESG score on townhalls so that they can sell the company to a VC. There’s clear favoritism; mentioned by many others that this company is no longer QT but Cognizant Lite. Essentially, you’re accepting all the risk of a contractor but you’re not reaping the reward. My advice is to avoid this company if possible.
