Pros

Working in an area that is underserved. Leadership is approachable and open to new ideas. Ability to move within the organization. The impact on patients far beyond the walls of the jails. Good compensation and benefits.

Cons

Not necessarily a QCC issue, but need to continue to advocate for more funding for additional services.

Pros

Family owned company that treats employees like family! The mission and core values are heart felt and aimed at making a difference in are local communities. I always wanted to make my career in something that is purpose driven and impact oriented. I found that here. Love working alongside the people that I do everyday.

Cons

Corporate office is so involved in the field that sometimes you don't get an answer to next day. Jail staff can be slightly uncooperative at times, but no major cons that warrant lasting issues.

Pros

Clearly defined mission, duties, and expectations. Good compensation. Good time flexibility. Help from teammates is always available when needed.

Cons

While this is not a con, it is a reality of employment in a situation in which you provide care for other people. You must be competent at self-care. Working with people in incarcerated settings requires empathy, and you must be able to manage your personal life and arrive to work as a professional.
