Pros

Okay-ish pay. Mostly sit down job. They'll take forever to get you a uniform so for the first month or so, wear whatever the hell you want. You'll get sexually harassed either way. When its dead, feel free to play facebook games all you want.

Cons

Constant unwarranted, disgusting male attention. You will be propositioned to have sex for money. Be repeatedly asked how old you are by creeps that want to make sure they'll only be arrested for rape and not also pedophilia.. Be asked in a hundred different ways for your number/a date/sex under the guise of someone requesting room rates. In truth, they have no intention of buying a room unless you agree to go to it with them. Beyond that, enjoy working solo shifts, rarely/never with a manager on duty in a place where most of the front desk has been held up at gun point for money. Concerns for this repeat issue only being taken seriously after one long-term employee quit immediately following the situation. You will meet a wide variety of individuals including hookers, schizophrenic homeless people, mothers pimping out their underage daughters, bus fulls of frat boys, piss-drunk babyshower attendees and runaway teenagers. You'll be working at all hours, at the beck and call of guests 24/7 while housekeeping is not. Leaving you unable to fulfill 90% of guest's needs that don't involve answering what the wifi code is. Which mind you, is told to them and written down. There is no holiday pay despite the hotel being open for every single one, but they might give you a Walmart gift card if you get suckered into working on Christmas day. Make sure to keep track of your hours on your own, because this place is old-fashioned and have you clock in by writing your name down in a binder. Yea. Like on your first day at high school. On top of that, they will conveniently drop off a few hours every now and then if you don't routinely keep an eye on your pay.

Love it here so far

Pros

Love working here. The GM is very hardworking and helpful. If I have any questions or concerns I can go to him anytime and he helps me with it. My supervisor the Front Desk Manager Harry is also very helpful. He is the one who trained me personally and I share the front desk with him Mon-Fri. I have a feeling I will become a Manager very soon myself the way they have complimented my work ethics and my drive to be successful.

Cons

No health insurance or any other insurance but it is a franchise so that is common with franchisees.
