This company doesn't care about their employees, which reflects in several aspects of how they treat their employees.
Low pay, especially for those on visas. This company takes advantage of people on visas. They know immigrants' vulnerability and don't bother to pay well even if the employee has good education and works hard.
More responsibilities but with no compensations. Though it's pretty self explanatory, the company expects you to take more responsibilities and work much longer hours but doesn't bother to pay you more.
When the project ends, you'll be laid off most likely. When our project ended, the company told us they could find us another job within the company. Many people in our team took training courses as advised by the company so that they could be assigned to other projects. But it turned out that the company didn't help most of the people even though they completed all the training courses, and those people just went unemployed. The company may say nice things but just to protect themselves so doesn't stick to their word.
They neglect to follow what they agreed on the contract. One of my teammates had an agreement of salary increase after a certain period of time, but the company just refused to follow the agreement. As far as I know, she was a hard working person, who contributed a lot to the team.
HR makes mistakes too often: We often found mistakes with our pay, taxes, and paid vacation days. HR believes that we're responsible to spot such mistakes – i.e., if we don't find those mistakes, HR won't fix them.
