Not what it looks like

Pros

An international environment full of diverse and interesting people. Relaxed working environment most of the time.

Cons

Poor management with a very old-fashioned approach. Many lies coming from the management since day one. For instance, the company insists that there's a "full transparency" policy in place, which is NOT TRUE. Those who do dare question anything that management says are severely reprimanded, and management does this to send a message to the rest of the employees: that if employees do not automatically go along with what management imposes, they will also get in trouble. They have gone so far as to actually say that "those that don't complain are more valuable to the company". There's absolutely no information flowing between the management/HR and the employees, resulting in a lack of information concerning important matters, such as the change of important clauses in their contract. Dismissive management and HR behaviour, making it seem like they do not want and do not care to address employees' concerns. Misinformation with regards to the role, salary, and compensations during the interview phase. Work can get very tedious. There's no sufficient training for the employees to understand what the job is really about. Tasks are very mechanical and employees don't understand what they are doing. Promotions, which were promised since the beginning, are rare, and if employees are given more responsibilities or "small promotions", those are not based on the employees' actual performance or experience, but whether management likes them. Salaries also rarely reflect those promotions. Very rigid culture, no work from home policy in place, and not a good work-life balance as it seems like the managers are counting the hours that you spend in the office. What's worse is that this type of micromanagement and time management policy do not apply to the management. They are allowed to work from home.
