Pros

They pay senior roles good money.

Cons

It's hard to quantify all the bad experiences at Quanta. This is a company that grew through acquisition and that bends easily to any unreasonable request from its organization units and other individuals in the organization. Quanta is a fortune 400 company managed like a bad mom and pop store. The company's leadership has very little consideration for their investors and employees, wasting money and resources based on the wishes coming from people that are part of the family of the founders. I've seen millions of dollars wasted on unnecessary solutions or because nobody had the backbone to stand up to the childish behavior of some of the OPUs' leadership. There is very little strategy on anything that is done, as long as OPUs and someone's cousin are not upset you can do anything, but if you challenge a bad decision or the status quo, you will be humiliated. The company presents itself as a respectful corporation, but it's far from being a nice place to work. It's a toxic environment that impacts people's health and a revolving door in many departments as it's hard for good individuals to deal with the egocentric leadership of the company. It's at least interesting to observe and try to understand why the board of directors allow the extravagances that happen in the company (e.g.: Q Ranch), but it is true that the company has a huge backlog of business. Last but not least, the most sad and revolting thing about Quanta is to see leadership commemorating catastrophic events that impact, hurt and kill thousands of people (hurricanes, tornados etc) like winning the lottery, as these events make the company millions of dollars once they are contracted to rebuild electrical infrastructure. People with a brain, a soul and a spine will struggle to work here in most cases. It's not worth the money...

Pros

Overall good work environment, leadership cares about the employees and their families.

Cons

There is no career path for anyone at a staff level, manager and below. The company is growing and wants to mature their processes. If you are hired as a manager or above your pay & bonus is good, however for the rest I cannot say the same. You will have to fight for your right to get what you deserve.
