Not a good place to work Sumter Utilities a division of Quanta Services

Pros

40 hours a week on most weeks, insurance, mostly decent equipment

Cons

Getting lied to about raises, constantly getting switched from crew to crew area to area to fill their voids, can't keep help because the wages are so low, they put people in positions that have no experience just to fill a spot with no concern for safety. Safety only applies when it's convenient for them.

The time is pretty flexible and you work on some enormous projects that will expand your skills.

Cons

Zero employee appreciation. Treated like a contractor. End of project = end of job with no notice. Zero training opportunities.
