      Pros

      Massive amounts of data. Lots of interesting and challenging problems. Fun company to work for right in the middle of downtown San Francisco. Good benefits and salary, free food every day for lunch/dinner. Sometimes we get breakfasts, but don't count on those.. The upper management is generally really motivated, smart, and accessible. The CEO is awesome.

      Cons

      Office space is a bit crowded. There's also not a lot of incentive to work really hard except for your personal satisfaction (which in my case is enough, but thought I'd put it out there). Interestingly, a lot of people stay long hours.

      Pros

      Quantcast is an informal open environment with amazing and approachable senior management. You really get a chance to make an impact here. Most importantly, it is full of very smart and very fun people. It's never boring and every day there is more to learn and greater challenges to achieve.

      Cons

      This is a challenging environment and employees are expected to perform, which means it is sometimes necessary to work overtime.

      Pros

      - really big data (we log in excess of 400,000 events per second) - high growth and innovation (we're rapidly moving into fully real-time computation) - opportunity to work with very smart people - plenty of recognition for good work

      Cons

      In terms of your work priorities, you can sometimes be pulled in several directions at once. But then again, it's a small company and still retaining its startup atmosphere, so I think this is to be expected.
