Complex product portfolio; Culture lacking

Pros

Great technology; but the portfolio is complex.

Cons

Culture is very divided - old versus new. Company going through significant change since Dell separation.

We knew that there would be the need for significant change just based on the size of Dell vs. the size of Quest. Open to remote work. Nice people and relatively laid back atmosphere.

Cons

When I was there, not enough attention to strategy and competitive differentiation.

I share your thoughts about the laid back atmosphere including our robust work from home program. It allows us to select employees from anyplace in the world to join the Quest team instead of relying on either relocating someone to a brick and mortar site or finding someone in commutable distance. Pros

Reasonable benefits and salary, some good management.

Cons

Focused on the bottom line and all cost, happy to lose excellent support engineers, who provide first class support and bring in years of experience and replace with cheaper resources from other regions who have no clue about the products they are supporting. Short term gains - customers will not value support and revenues will drop longer term, customers are happy to pay a little more for quality.
