Sick and tired of a couple of former employees

Pros

Questionmark has been in business since the 80s and is the industry leader in online software for assessment delivery. I work with a great team and have outstanding Managers. I am one of the longest employees in my dept. and I have only spoken to the CEO twice. Could have something to do with no sexually harassing my co-workers, or giving away private information or attending baseball games instead of working. The CEO is only concerned with running the company which is his money, he is part owner. But back to the fine folks I work with. They are top notch, hard working and ready to help if they can. As for my managers they are hands down the best I have ever worked with.

Cons

Yes the software has been an issue. But really anyone happy with windows 8. Software is difficult to make work on the best of days but when you are trying to keep up with new tech it is even harder. Many companies have hundreds of programmers we have less then 20. Not bad with those numbers. One issue which I know the CEO is working on is a more stable income flow to offsite a down economy. Which is an issue with a software company.

Pros

The environment is friendly and relaxed. There's a learning day every other Friday. The company actually invests on their employees, pay for conferences and learning tools (e.g. pluralsight).

Cons

Too much flexibility working from home resulted in a deserted office most days. It's a relatively small company, so there are career opportunities, but you might as well feel stuck at some point.

Pros

Pays the bills. Just. In comparison to the rest of the market, this company doesn't even pay that well for the stress of dealing with their lunatic management. Take a job there ONLY if you are absolutely desperate for money, they truly are such terrible employers that it can only be done for money. The chairman seems fairly nice but is a puppet in hands of the CEO and ultimately will never have your back; you're on your own. Same about HR, doing the absolute minimum while conspiring with the management at first opportunity. Don't even count on it being fair.

Cons

Psychotic CEO who should fire himself in the first instance. The chairman of this company should be ashamed that such nasty individuals now constitute the core of the brand. Malicious and bullying management. The marketing, finance, dev and the account managers are great. The rest ( mostly the people who have been there longer) are lunatics, badly overpaid and backstabbing. Gang culture and hardly any positive support.
