Pros

Good pay for no education. Decent benefits for no education. That's about it. Nothing really else to say. Hard for me to get to 20 words cause pay and decent benefits are all I see as pros.

Cons

Politics, politics, politics. People are black balled for not towing the company line. Many people who work there dont think for themselves. Thinking outside the box is discouraged. Upper management is not held to the same standards as the store team members and have a hard time relating to store operations. the future looks bleak with our reliance on gas margin to make a profit. Upper management gets perks that lower management gets written up for. A double standard for employees who's kids work in the stores. I have seen kids get away with things I have seen other people get in trouble for.

Pros

QuikTrip knows how to treat it's employees, even as the lowest rung on the ladder, I immediately saw the good. Flexible schedules; easy to trade shifts, pick up shifts, get days off. Pay is great, especially for a first job. After working the first six months, clerks receive a bonus determined by amount of hours worked, and every six months that follow. You also receive a monthly customer service bonus. If you ever have any issues, any manager or corporate personnel can help. Promotions are all too frequent, and it is not hard to advance. QuikTrip is a faced-paced work environment, and without question one of the best places to work around.

Cons

Bare in mind that QuikTrip is a customer service oriented company, therefor, working in the store, you will have many customers who treat you very rude, and inappropriately. It is, however, one of the very few cons to the job.

Pros

The benefit's for a retail company are top notch: vacation, Health insurance, and the amount of money you are able to make is very good.

Cons

They own you..Once you get into a position those are your hour's...until you switch position's or you are promoted. There is definately a favoratism when it comes to promotion's. If you tell them no to a promotion there will be no other chances without some serious..butt kissing. For someone who has a family you can really forget about seeing them as most position's REQUIRE WEEKEND'S even if you are PT. On the local level they do make quite a few promises that they do not keep. They do this as there motivational tool...
