Pros

R/GA gets big clients and exciting work. If you get on the right account you can have a fantastic portfolio in a matter of months. The teams that I worked with were very talented and were prepared to go the extra mile to create something special.

Cons

Work life balance can be hard. Production are bad at managing the clients resulting in an over stretch workforce. Prepare for late nights.

Pros

High profile clients and high profile work. Good salary and half-decent benefits package. Lots of young people and parties--if you're into that.

Cons

Upper management feels the need to constantly tout the same R/GA success stories to their employees, trying to reassure them that they, too, will eventually get to work on "their" Nike+... but that never happens. Creative leadership is mostly "old" R/GAers who have just stayed put and been promoted by seniority (and plenty of politicking) rather than earning it with skill. Long, long, long work hours for projects barely supported by project managers and account people.

Pros

There are big clients with great projects, specially in the more evolved markets like NYC, London. Cross-office collaboration allow you to learn from other teams and grow your experience.

Cons

Lack of inspiring leaders. lots of egos and selfishness. Very large teams per projects and sometimes this can be counterproductive. Layoffs happen all the time, 2017 was a very bad year for their revenue and employees are the ones affected.
