Pros
- A super talented bunch of designers. - Great people working at the lower end, all ambitious and super friendly. - A few good characters who try to keep the culture fun and engaging. - Some very good managers who fight to ensure people below them are happy. - With the right team, R/GA can produce truly world-klass work that is a pleasure to be a part of. - There is hope that current problems mit the company are being addressed.
Cons
- Too much focus on working late. Management see more hours = harder worker. There's no incentive to work efficiently. - Poor pay rises, lack of any training buget. - The new generation of management very happy for the already established talent to leave in favour of new 'ad people' with attractive portfolios. - There's almost no tech team left. The agency is turning more into a strategy consultancy. Of 200+ people, maybe one or two people left who can actually make things. - Too much focus on winning awards, and often one hollywood project will dominate the credits which disheartens the 98% of the company who didn't work on it. - Too many creative teams.
