Pros

Most positions had a lot of flexibility. Contributed to art influence in the community. Allowed employees to host events in the work space.

Cons

Some management refused to acknowledge an eagerness to learn more about the industry and be trained in new areas of the business. Pretty "boys club" type of company. I went into the position with promises of career development and growth and after management changes it just fell on deaf ears.

Pros and cons average it out.

Pros

People who work there are really talented, smart and knowledgeable. A lot of creative work is done internally, so people with all sorts of expertise are always cheerfully available to help. Good ideas are nurtured regardless of where they come from.

Cons

You will only grow if someone important takes you under their wing. The career path is confusing -- many people there took a title demotion when they were hired, and had their skills underutilized for a long time before getting promoted to their real job titles. They give the impression they do a lot of cutting-edge product work, but the bulk of it is increasingly advertising. The new NYC office space feels like a sweatshop.

Brilliant but flawed

Pros

Amazingly smart people surround you at all times. You'll work on huge projects that'll push you to learn and grow. And you'll be around people who love being creative with technology

Cons

Can sometimes forget that it's the employees, not the clients, who make the agency. Account leadership can especially be political and untrustworthy when it comes to solving problems as a team. Satellite offices - those outside the NYC mothership - can sometimes get lost in the shuffle and lose out on opportunities at the truly intriguing clients
