Pros

Salary is pretty competitive. Coworkers are generally pleasant to work with although reasons could be because of a mutual dislike of employer. Swing shift if you enjoy that.

Cons

No flexibility. Increasing amount of rules added to assure employees are inconvenienced rather than convenienced. Shift work if you dislike that. Outsourcing to off shore places resulting in work force reductions. No voice in the work place. Management that does not look out for employees. Hostile work environment all together.

Pros

It's a very old company with a lot of opportunity, and I feel very stable being here.

Cons

The benefits are ridiculously expensive, the incentive pay is virtually non-existent, and the annual raises are laughable. No 401k match.

Pros

This company is enormous and has seemingly endless resources for its projects. Job stability and market share are definite advantages. A position at RRD is good for someone who wants a steady paycheck above all else.

Cons

The size of the company is also a disadvantage in that it lends itself to intense office politics, a generally apathetic workforce, and wasteful spending practices. This is not a place for someone who wants an uplifting environment or personal development. Corporate ladder climbers and satisfied drones only. IMPORTANT: Salary increases are generally not based on performance or even your peers' salaries, but on percentage increase. Your negotiated starting salary is vital to your financial growth. It is very common to make less than peers who do less, lower quality work. Do NOT settle for less than half of the stated salary range when you start.
