Bad Review Title: "Needs Improvement in Work-Life Balance" Rating: ⭐⭐☆☆☆ Pros: The company offers solid initial training and exposure to healthcare systems like Epic. Team members are knowledgeable and often supportive of new hires. Being part of a recognized name in healthcare revenue cycle looks good on a resume. Cons: High Workload: The expectations for productivity often result in long hours, impacting work-life balance. Compensation Issues: Salaries and raises don't match the effort or experience level required for the roles. Micromanagement: Some teams have overly rigid structures, which can hinder autonomy. Limited Career Progression: Opportunities for advancement seem biased or unclear, causing frustration among employees. Lack of Transparency: Communication from upper management about company direction or changes can feel insufficient.

Pros

Work from home and being able to get work experience

Cons

This company could be so much better if they didn’t put a lot of emphasis on everything that you do wrong. They do not give any certificates, recognition or pay raises etc for outstanding work, quality, assurance, performance or attendance. Constantly feeling like you’re walking on egg shells. Can’t win for loosing work environment. Show up to work with a smile. When something does happen you maybe you’re running late because an unforeseen incident. They are quick to write you up or put you on some kind of performance plan very frustrating and pretty much see no future or growth.

Pros

Coworkers are great and we’re what got me through the day. Pay was decent. Last manager was my saving grace and really cared about her team.

Cons

Communication between management and employees were minimal at best. We never really knew what was going on within our company. As a PRN, I was required to work 48hrs a month and I worked well over that amount (which wasn’t a problem) but I got no benefits with that. As PRN status there is no PTO. This place sucked the life out of me and greatly affected my mental health. R1 is more than happy to uproot your job and hand it over to the India team overseas. Personally it seemed like they did not care about their employees. In the 3 years I worked here we went through 5 managers and were never told when we were getting a new one or what happened to the last manager, we just got an email one day from a manager saying they are taking over and that was the only communication we had. My last manager was the only one who cared about us employees. I am a full time student while working here and they did not care that I needed to change my hours due to my clinical schedule, they only cared how this would affect them since they would only have 2 reps working. They also would never hire anyone to help us with our workload. 3 reps with an inbox that was usually filled with at least 300 emails a day is not enough people.
