      A Great Start at the RAC

      Pros

      After 9 weeks at the RAC, I can confidently say it’s a fantastic place to work. I initially joined on a 3-month temporary basis to see if the role was the right fit, for both myself and the organisation. It quickly became clear, just after the first month, that it was a great match, and I was delighted to become permanent. What stands out most is the people. The team culture is incredibly welcoming and supportive, and it’s clear that everyone genuinely cares about the work and each other. I’ve also been really impressed by the company’s values and its commitment to employee wellbeing, something that’s not just talked about, but actively demonstrated.

      Cons

      The workload can be intense, but that’s very much the nature of the role and it comes with the territory. There’s a lot to manage, and some of the technology and processes in place are quite dated. That said, there’s clear potential for improvement and modernisation, provided the right investment is made. It’s an opportunity as much as it is a challenge.

      Great organisation to work for

      Pros

      Everyone is encouraged to contribute towards the ongoing success of the business, The executive team and CEO are accessible and engaging. Unlike most big organisations I have worked for, there does not seem to be any bureaucracy or politics at play. Everyone is clear what their roles/responsibilities are and are empowered to make a difference rather than getting blocked off by red tape or hierarchy.

      Cons

      As we're a fast-paced organisation there is a lot of change and shifting priorities which most people are comfortable with but it isn't for everyone.
