Pros

The job includes easy tasks, a fairly malleable schedule, and good bonuses and incentives for being quicker and more accurate as a collector.

Cons

The main downside to the job is that it is mostly solo work, meaning that you don't really have any co-workers and you're collecting data alone. It can get a bit dull and boring if you're used to people interaction. The other thing that gave me a problem was that there was a lot of driving, you have to be prepared to drive for an hour plus, to and from your scan location, regularly.

Pros

What I like best is the ability to make my own hours for the most part. You have a deadline to meet, however, in case you cant make it on time, management is very understanding and can accomodate. Opportunity to travel is usually available if you want. Seems to be a decent company for somone wanting to earn some cash

Cons

It can be tedious. Must be a self starter, you manage yourself. I worry often I need more training. Would be great to work with other data collectors

Pros

Well you will get paid @ $12/hour initially, but eventually that one goes away and becomes a Piece rate ($0.14 per item scanned). At the beginning you need to do a lot to get along with knowing how it works, which is good but the company will not tell you at the beginning that you will be transferred to the Piece rate eventually. So all the efforts that you make just evaporates.

Cons

Transferring to the Piece rate means you lose your opportunity to make more money. You cannot make enough money while you are on Piece rate. The contracting procedure should be transparent at the beginning. The Data Collectors don't have even a chance of being considered for the district manager positions, even if they are qualified. The company just don't even lets you know about up coming opportunities. All you have to do is just data collection.
