      A great company to work for until they lose the contract and lay everyone off

      Pros

      You don't really interact with anyone from RIVA at all so i guess thats a positive. It is just a shell of a company that collects all the surplus value off of your labor. They love to throw big parties and galas for "networking" and "team-building" to post on LinkedIn, especially after they lay off a majority of their workforce. I reported to my team leads who worked directly within the Federal Government, or to other government contractors who were not affiliated at all with RIVA. Those people were great and were some of the smartest and hardworking people I've ever had the pleasure to serve. I'm sure they have all been laid off or furloughed as well. As far as I know, no one who worked directly for RIVA had any idea what I did or what my position entailed.

      Pros

      Decent salary. Benefits not great.

      Cons

      Poor management along with tactics to lay off people who have been loyal to company. Govcon comp and hasn’t won contracts in several years and very unorganized.

      Very high turnover. Lots of recent layoffs, high expectations.
