High ratios if you’re used to a hospital but it’s not bad based on acuity

Poor management and especially poor administration who implement pie in the sky ideas without the input of clinical staff that leads to nightmares on the unit. Very high turnover, and understaffed. When I started here, I was told that I would have 5 patients, then 6 became the norm, They have tried to saddle me with 8 patients and I've seen as many as 10 patients being thrown at a nigh shift nurse --which is completely unsafe and untenable given the high patient acuity.
