Pros

- Amazing culture - Kind and intelligent individual contributors - Fully stocked kitchen

Cons

Your experience at ROI Revolution will largely depend on your team and direct manager. Much of the leadership still operates with a more traditional and outdated mindset around work-life balance. Depending on where you land, your ideas might be welcomed or dismissed. You may find your input respected and trusted, or you may not. Support from your manager, both professionally and personally, can be hit or miss.

Thank you for your feedback. I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed ROI's culture and found yourself surrounded by intelligent team members who are also kind human beings. I feel the same way and am constantly amazed by the incredible group of people with whom I work. While every leader is going to operate differently based on leadership style, roles they lead, work their team completes, etc., we do strive for and expect a consistent employee experience when it comes to respect, support and trust. I'd love to connect with you directly to better understand your perspective so that we can learn more from your experience. Pros

Put in the work and stay open to feedback and you will be rewarded with a solid client portfolio and fair compensation. ROI does not tolerate big egos, which means the people you work with are friendly, helpful and above all, smart. With all the stress and often daunting workloads, the culture makes it a joy to come to work.

Cons

A large share of the company is in a leadership position, so at times it feels top-heavy. Recognition/career advancement is there but it takes a long time to earn it. For example, the performance review process is annual and quite rigid.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and provide us with valuable feedback! I’m thrilled to hear that our company culture has brought a sense of joy to your workday. Creating a joyful culture and holding ourselves and our team members accountable to living our core values is of great importance to Senior Leadership. At ROI, we’re deeply committed to supporting personal and professional growth and work hard to provide team members with access to learning (individual and group) and mentorship opportunities. As we shared at a recent company meeting, a current priority is establishing/maintaining ideal Manager-to-Individual Contributor ratios across the organization. This looks different by team and department, and while some areas may be more top-heavy, the intention is always to ensure that managers are set up well to provide personalized coaching and guidance to each team member regarding career growth. We recognize that career advancement is important, and we’ve designed our job family structure with fairness and consistency at its core. While our approach may differ from other organizations, it’s meant to create clarity and equity in career progression. To support individual growth and the achievement of career goals, we place a strong emphasis on the rigor of our performance management system and the development of personalized career growth plans. These tools are designed to provide clear expectations, track progress, and identify opportunities for development. We’re always working to improve and refine our organizational structure and leadership effectiveness, and feedback like yours plays an important role in that process. Thank you again for sharing your perspective—it helps us continue to improve the employee experience. If you’d like to discuss more, please reach out so we can set up some time to chat! Thank you for taking the time to share a bit about your 5 years at ROI! I appreciate your sentiments around organizational change; in such a dynamic space, things are always changing. As a leadership team, we're always working to strengthen our approach to change management. Soliciting feedback early and often is key and as you said, we remain committed to listening to team members to understand why initial changes/plans may not be the best and how we can make them better. You touched on so many wonderful 'pros' of working at ROI and I have to agree with all of them! Big standouts for me are our amazing culture (which includes our emphasis on employee feedback), our focus on both personal and professional growth, and flexibility that allows team members to achieve a work/life balance that works best for them. I'm thrilled to know that you look at your time at ROI so fondly and wish you the best! Best, Barbara Green SVP of HR
