Pros

- The people are amazing! A group of smart, kind individuals who want to do the best they can for themselves, the team, and the clients. I personally met a lot of outside of work friends at ROI which made relocating to the area a lot more enjoyable. - Career Development: You get to work on really awesome, dynamic projects. As I reflect on the work I did and the initiatives I led, I don't see many of my peers with the same credentials. - Feedback: This might be a con for some, but I personally loved the consistent feedback that is shared. I always knew where I stood with my manager and I could consistently be working on ways to grow. - Structure without Limitations: ROI really embraces growth so if you have ideas on things that could improve the job or work we do, there is a lot of freedom to lead those projects. If you choose to do so there is a lot of mentorship and support from management and senior leadership. My favorite memories heavily align with the additional projects I took on and it does help when the promotion cycle comes.

Cons

Keep in mind, I recommend ROI as a great place to work, but everywhere has its cons. - Limited Growth Paths: This is something management was actively working on when I left, but for many situations it's either a manager role or you leave if you want to progress in your career past a certain point. Management roles also don't come up often and are very competitive meaning you might have to wait a long time to pass that barrier. - Diversity: Unfortunately ROI really falls short here. DEI initiatives have been started but lose steam quickly. - Onboarding Resources: If you are coming in with experience and starting higher than an analyst, it seems to be a very tough transition. I don't believe there is the proper training resources in place or management training to help such a training be successful. - Inconsistent Management: I always loved my managers, but your experience can vary vastly depending who your manager is. I've seen quite a few long-standing managers become complacent in their roles and their team members suffer because of it. - Work Life Balance: It's good when you compare it to typical agency life, but at the end of the day, it feels like you're being asked to provide the same level of service, but within 42.5 hours for them to say that we have work life balance. Managers care that you're overworked, but only a few of them will actually help you reduce your workload because it's often out of their control. - Feedback: This is a pro for me, but it can be a shock for people who aren't used to getting consistent feedback.

Thank you for sharing your feedback! We’re delighted to hear that you felt supported by our team and were able to form meaningful connections during your time with our organization. Our people are truly one of the best things about working at ROI and we’re so glad you experienced such a positive and welcoming community here. We take great pride in our career advancement opportunities, which reflect our deep commitment to fostering growth and rewarding excellence. Through mentorship programs and a range of resources, we provide various pathways for career growth and leadership development, empowering team members to advance in a number of different directions. These initiatives enable individuals to embrace new challenges, cultivate leadership skills, and achieve their professional goals—whether through management, specialized expertise, or other growth opportunities. We are also committed to continuously improving our onboarding resources, particularly for senior hires, to ensure a seamless and supportive transition for all new employees and existing employees moving into a new role. I'm happy to report that our updated onboarding process now offers new Paid Media Strategists the chance to learn from a larger group of team members with diverse backgrounds and areas of expertise. This program pairs new hires with strategists with various experiences, giving them valuable insights into different approaches to collaboration, strategy development, and client relationship management. With structured, intentional training, we aim to strengthen both technical knowledge and strategic skills, providing a well-rounded and empowering start to the role. While work-life balance can look different for each person, I can personally attest that the balance here has been the best I’ve encountered in my career. We understand the challenges of maintaining balance in a fast-paced environment, and we are committed to supporting a healthy work-life balance through our established core working hours, generous paid time off policies, and hybrid work environment. Thank you again for your valuable feedback. If you have anything additional you'd like to share, please don't hesitate to reach out to me directly. Pros

I’ve been with ROI for close to 2 years, and I can honestly say it’s one of the best workplaces I’ve ever experienced. The culture here is fantastic—everyone is friendly, collaborative, and genuinely cares about each other’s success. It’s refreshing to be part of a team where open communication and support are prioritized. One of ROI's standout features is its commitment to employee growth and development. From day one, I’ve been encouraged to pursue professional development opportunities, whether through training programs, internal workshops, or mentorship. The leadership team actively invests in our growth, ensuring that we have the resources and support to advance in our careers. The work-life balance is also commendable. The company understands that happy employees lead to better productivity and creativity. I feel very fortunate to be part of such a dynamic team!

Pros

- The analysts, strategists, and team leads are excellent and genuinely committed to helping you learn and grow in your role. - They had a nice office with lots of free snacks

Cons

- The noncompete felt extremely restrictive (cant stress this enough) - In my opinion the company has a very litigious nature and a willingness for litigation with former employees - In my personal view, the company's policies around COVID 19 vaccine mandates were unethical and immoral. It felt as though the company only cared about how they were portrayed externally and not how it effected their employees. - Lots of turnover

Thank you for sharing your feedback about your time with ROI. We are committed to hiring and promoting highly talented people who are committed to helping others learn and grow and we’re pleased to hear you experienced this during your time with us. I appreciate you taking the time to share your perspective on our employment agreements. While each facet of our agreements (including confidentiality, non-compete, and non-solicit) are common in business at our scale and beyond, we are fully transparent about the details with all candidates by discussing them early on in the interview process to ensure alignment before an offer is made. Having such agreements are critical to our culture of transparency and open communication (about our business and our plans) and help protect the intellectual property and competitive advantage of ours and our client's businesses, thereby protecting our clients and our talented team members directly. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts. If you have any additional feedback you'd like to share, please don't hesitate to reach out to me directly to discuss. Warmly, Timothy Seward CEO
