Pros

Depends on what department you're in, but lots of fun, exciting people. Many marketing events to attend, great networking base, small family environment.

Cons

Underpaid, departments should be integrated, should have training programs to mold new hires for growth opportunities, take advantage of young workers.

Pros

Very relaxed atmosphere, nice location, nice office. They also throw sick conferences every year in Dana Point. All in all, it's a pretty decent place to work and it holds a good presence in California.

Cons

Pay is lower than street, there's a very obvious divide in culture between IBD and the rest of the firm. A good amount of turnover from people either getting fired or leaving for other firms.

Pros

fun working environment. you will learn a lot if you're newer to the industry

Cons

terrible compensation. investment banking analysts, associates, and VPs are paid a tiny fraction (30%ish) of what you can make at more mainstream firms. a lot of the hard working people who drive the success in the firm are paid peanuts. top management tries to keep all the money from themselves and is always looking for a way to get their hands in your pocket.
