Run away! Dishonest Company!

Pros

They spend lots of money trying to make you feel good about yourself working there, but it's all smoke and mirrors

Cons

RSM US will lay people off in the middle of a pandemic without warning and claim it's for performance reasons, which isn't true. They are lying and they know it. They just don't want bad press, so that is why this site is a great place to hear the truth! The partners will tell you that you are great until they are done using you. 80% of the partners at RSM are dead weight who are partners because their firm was bought by RSM years ago. Half of the younger partners became partner because they were in the right place and right time. It's a corporate machine where 80% of the partners provide little to no value, but are still considered partners.

Pros

Benefits, People, Brand recognition, Nice office space, decent technology

Cons

Accounting Firms do not understand sales and marketing, slow to adopt market trend applications, bottom line attitude, not willing to listen to associates or sales people (Only listen to accounting and finance people). Does not service their customers (stay away from existing customers, regardless if they are paying to much for a service that RSM offers). Country club atmosphere (Nepotism, friends, friend of a friend will get hired before the best candidate for the job).

Pros

Good resume experience, a few publicly traded companies but be prepared to work a lot of hours for the experience

Cons

No work/life balance, HR is really bad, and expect a lot of crazy hours. Unfortunately all of the reviews are accurate for this location- the managers and partners really don’t care about their employees and definitely not about retaining them. Unprofessional behavior will go tolerated and unnoticed if your billables are up to par. Also the office has a lot of drama, people who work 100 hours a week don’t have lives, so be prepared for lots of stupid gossip. I’m currently looking for employment elsewhere and hoping that I’ll land something prior to the busy season kick off. Management can’t retain staff and jobs will be short staffed. The company isn’t doing well financially and I️ don’t want to be around for the demise. I️ wish I️ was lucky enough to have been selected for after the busy season lay off. Yea.. they did that.
