Pros

Competitive Benefits: Comprehensive health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks. Global Recognition: Being part of a reputable, industry-leading organization.

Cons

Management Disconnect: Senior leadership often lacks awareness of day-to-day operations, leading to misaligned priorities and operational inefficiencies. Reactive Culture: Prevalent firefighting and addressing immediate issues overshadows proactive initiatives and innovation that could improve general bottom line. Heavy Workload Due to Understaffing: Insufficient staffing creates excessive workloads, leading to burnout, frustration, and inefficiency. Geographical Location: This particular facility is located in a slowly developing city which offers limited social and recreational outlets, making it less appealing for certain employees seeking vibrant work-life balance options.

Pros

I have been with Raytheon for a long time. It is full of great people and opportunties. Benefits are pretty good. PTO, Holidays etc. Pay is competitive, and they have a performance bonus as well that can get pretty large. Cool technology, innovation centers that employees can use and other small perks at larger facilities.

Cons

The company culture has taken a turn for the worse since Swanson (former Raytheon CEO) retired. He was and engineering and worked his way up from entry-level. Back then, all town-hall type meetings focused on technology and customer needs. It was always said, that if we meet our commitments to our customers, the financials will fall into place. With the new leadership, everything is about finance results, cost cutting, etc. It seems RTX is going the same direction as Boeing. Away from being an engineering company, to one run by "bean counters".
