Pros
Generally flexible schedule depending on role. Onsite food trucks in San Antonio. The company is usually quite transparent, to the point that employers are legally considered "insiders" due to their knowledge of plans and finances.
Cons
The culture and management is shifting to that of a large corporation. The heady days of smaller company or even startup culture are quickly fading into memory. Politicking is on the rise, as is the need to tolerate and participate in it. The pay is substandard - definitely below what you'd call "competitive". It isn't uncommon for rackers to leave and experience 50-100% increases in pay. Benefits are constantly shifting. From time off changes to review processes, from 180 degree reversals in how travels managed to how bonuses are calculated. The latter one has proven to be most effective in convincing employees that bonuses are constantly being re-considered to decrease payouts.
