Pros

- raconteur agency rebranded as alan. In Oct 2020 (heads up) - broadly a group of very talented people who will bring the best out of you - a willingness to imagine new business ideas and execute them - A list clients - full empowerment and autonomy to deliver results in the role - senior leaders aren’t as bad as others may make out, they are very very good at what they do so if you can get on with people you’ll be well set to thrive - high growth and aspirational agency - willing to listen to staff and develop a really inclusive and fun culture. Kudos for the effort.

Cons

- coffee machine took too long to clean. Alas.

Pros

- Colleagues are an incredible bunch of people and you're likely to form genuine friendships with that go beyond the office! - The product while not revolutionary, is put together in a way which makes it truly unique in the marketplace and has allowed Raconteur to thrive in a difficult period within print media. - Ambitious and adaptive people can expect to be rewarded for their hard work both monetarily and with opportunities to grow and move up within the company. - You will be expected to speak credibly with incredibly senior individuals in industries you may have only begun to research, this learning curve while challenging makes it incredibly satisfying to become knowledgeable on important business topics and current events. - The satisfaction that comes with knowing your work will be in one of the most prestigious news outlets in the UK and the amazing portfolio of work you are able to put together as a result. - Great corporate culture, lots of opportunities to mingle with your colleagues after work hours with drinks/meals/events/clubs/volunteering/etc - No micro-management, you are left to do your work but colleagues and superiors are always ready to help should you need it.

Cons

- There is nowhere to hide when things aren't going well as you are 100% responsible for managing your project. - Lots of late nights particularly when under pressure/deadlines - Company is extremely picky about who they bring in, not really a con from their perspective but as a candidate it could be quite disheartening. - Some people don't like to cold call and while it isn't a majority of the job by any stretch, you cannot be afraid to pick up the phone!
