Pros

Radio Flyer not only contributes, but allows all employees the opportunity to be a part of and give back to the local communities in need. My favorite being the yearly KABOOM playground build.

Cons

More often than not employees are asked and expected to wear multiple hats. While this opens the opportunity to explore other areas of business, it can often be overwhelming, especially during seasonal peaks in the business

Pros

Radio Flyer truly values company, team, and individual growth. We have an amazing workplace culture driven by open communication, feedback, collaboration, and common goals. It’s really great working alongside such a hardworking and passionate team. I learn so much from collaborating with other Flyers, and we love celebrating our successes together! Small things like team lunches in our cafe, social hours after work, and fun committee events go a long way in building a close-knit team. Individual Flyers are frequently recognized at monthly company meetings with fun awards like Gold Wagons or Captain FUNomenal. The monthly all-company meetings also provide the opportunity for the leadership team to share important business updates as well as successes that we can celebrate and learning opportunities that we can grow from. As a Flyer, it’s amazing to be a part of a company with such a rich history while at the same time seeing the exciting & innovative new work that our team does each day. Knowing that the work I’m doing will inspire the next generation of kids & families is very rewarding. I always smile when I see one of our products being used in real life. I’m proud to work at Radio Flyer!

Cons

Our team is lean and many Flyers wear multiple hats within the company, so workload can be heavy especially at peak seasons. Luckily, team members are always willing to go the extra mile to help each other, and the responsibility allows plentiful opportunities for learning and both personal and professional growth.

Pros

Transparent, competent, and responsive leadership. Attention paid to career goals and personal growth. Culture of innovation and passion for the product. Amazing response to Covid-19. Initiative to create a culture of anti-racism.

Cons

There is a lack of diversity in managerial roles and outside of the warehouse operations. I do feel like this is recognized and that there is an effort to work on it, but it remains a weakness at the moment.

Thank you for your review; I appreciate your perspective and I agree we need to do better. As you know, we are committed to the diversity action plan set forth last year and are working hard to continue to build a great, diverse team. I encourage you to share any ideas or thoughts on how we can do this better with me or your manager. Thanks, Robert
