Pros

Yes they do advance you up the ladder and put you onto different machines with some training, and there may or may not be a bonus for all the work you do. Limited advancement but there is some.

Cons

As echoed in a lot of reviews , management takes a one day course on how to manage the employees and relies on ongoing experience to continue the education. This is stupid. Advancement depends a lot on whose buddy you are. I am fine with being laid off however the lower seniority people making far less retain their jobs and they have far less safety and diligence in doing the work and will have a stronger chance of being injured. Just an accident waiting to happen. Not a healthy place to work. Too much talk of safety and slowing down and non verbal communication that contradicts what you are told. Bottom line : not a safe work environment , and stress levels are high.

Pros

If you are a white man with limited ideas, then you might fit in. Don't let the fact that the CEO is a woman fool you. She is just a figure head.

Cons

There is simply no direction from the top at MRB. They are all long time buddies sitting on top of their thrones doing nothing. The company i in decline because Tamra Lundgren allowed the perpetuation of the good old boys club destroy any hope of SCHN doing well. Anytime good ideas are launched, a good old boy is right there to kill it. The boys have even resorted to using the anymous ethics hotline to get rid of people they don't like. I witnessed it with my own eyes. They are corrupt!

Pros

Celebration is emphasized when goals have been achieved. Weekly process training, safety training and management training is very good. The company holds environmental and safety as #1 priority. The company gives managers weekly reports that keep all measureable matrixes up to date and lays out exactly where you are for the month/year. Production and Sales Directors are hands on and very open to idea’s and always available for help.

Cons

Revenue Goals not achievable the year after a successful year. The District Managers have too many sites to take care of. The higher management depends on them to let them know what each success and struggle is at the moment and a lot of times they don’t have the time to do the research needed for a clear picture of the causes. Managers don’t have the power to reward the high performers monetarily and this leads to unrest and causes lack of focus. Human Resources make decisions on how likable the employee is. Most of the time they don’t give the manager enough of a penalty to make a statement with the employee, but if you are management……..the Motto is ”Pick N Punish”.
