Pros

I have worked at RAIN for a few years now and watched the company grow tremendously in terms of employees, quality of work and culture. Because RAIN's offices expand across the country from New York to Utah and Nicaragua as well, there is a cultural, lifestyle and time barrier that in the past, has made it very tricky to work efficiently. Lately however, I have seen a shift in the leadership at RAIN that has had an impact on the collaboration of the company as a whole. I'm writing because I think that the solve for our past struggle to find a true streamlined process is close. For the first time in a very long time, I am excited for the future of RAIN.

Cons

Past communication and collaboration issue between the three different offices.

Pros

Difficult to come up with something pleasant and positive to say. You should work at Rain if you're comfortable being treated poorly and with little respect.

Cons

Working at Rain can be summed up in one word. Disappointing. - The CDO is a phony and never, ever at the office. Some of us joke about all the vacation pictures he's always posting on Facebook. - Absolutely no synergy between NY and Utah. - The management team cares about one thing and one thing only...how much and how often you bill. Nothing else matters. - All of the best engineering and creative talent have left - Moral is at an all time low - Employees are leaving everyday (including the President)

Pros

Good co-workers, nice perks (soda machine, snacks, summer-short Fridays every other week)

Cons

Things are undoubtedly getting worse. The employees have been leaving or being laid off the past 18 months. Even the company President has left - going to another agency. The Utah owner/Chief Digital Officer is living in reality bubble of pet projects and generally disconnected from clients and employees. He is focused on his vacations, home improvements and corner office in a shiny new building while the AF office wastes away (they are already renting out most of their office in the existing space). I would bet that Utah becomes a small production house for New York if it even survives another year. Not sure why Crossborders bought Rain a few years ago - it has systematically dismantled the Utah operation while the CDO has tuned out completely.
