Awful Company

Pros

Good pay at market rate

Cons

- Very high turnover rate, most people don’t work at the company for longer than 9 months. - huge blame culture at senior management level so they literally will just fire 30 people one day with no warning (this is very common). - racist and sexiest company - poor company culture - A woman complained about sexual harassment and they fired her instead of the culprit. The culprit was then fired a few months later for being inappropriate with a female investor at work drinks - I would not recommend working or investing in this company. Only a matter of time before it blows up.

Thanks for your review. We want to foster a working environment that encourages extended tenures and we are proud to say that in the last year we've had a 5.8% turnover rate (average). In November 2022, we regrettably had to make reductions in our headcount to ensure we continue to run a sustainable business and as with many companies we had to refine our plans given the macro economic headwinds at the time. We are proud to share that over the last 12 months, we've increased our headcount by over 20% in support of our growth trajectory. We can assure you that we have a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of toxicity, discrimination or harassment as this goes against our core values.

Start up doomed to fail

Pros

Fast paced, plenty of room for learning.

Cons

- Poor Risk and Compliance culture. Growth at all costs. Compliance seen as a blocker internally rather than a lever for competition and growth. - Strategic direction at the top is very poor. Compete on price even at a loss and copy features from competitors is the only visible plan. - Real Customer needs never understand or planned around. Throw things at a wall to see what sticks is the standard approach. - Resource poor. No one in the company is actually doing the job they are hired or skilled for, they are doing that job and 2-3 other peoples jobs who were let go and not backfilled meaning nothing is really getting done properly. Burnout is present across every function.

Pros

Remote working, salary, benefits, free snacks, comfort office

Cons

Before I started work, my contract conditions were changed two days before I signed it (my salary was lowered and my position demoted) - I agreed to these conditions, being in a difficult financial situation, even though the previous conditions were much more favourable. At work, they argue how much they care about the employee, their development, wellbeing and family atmosphere. In practice, after less than 5 months of work, I and 30% of the company's employees were dismissed, without any warning - many people in a very bad financial situation got into trouble because of the irresponsible business decision. The company doesn't care about the employee, if they have a poor financial turnover they will sack you unscrupulously and only leave those they know well in post. So if someone cares about a stable job then I categorically advise against it, it is better to have a CV on standby because you can be fired at any time.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re pleased to hear you appreciated elements such as remote working, our benefits, and the office environment. That said, we’re genuinely sorry to hear that your overall experience did not meet expectations. We recognise that changing contract terms, even prior to joining, can be unsettling and we apologise if this caused any undue stress. In exceptional circumstances, business realities may necessitate difficult decisions and we understand how this can impact individuals—particularly during uncertain times.
