Pros

Christmas Party Somewhat flexible hours As a whole company it's fine but losing culture

Cons

I worked at Ramsey for over two years and in that time the department that I worked for changed from being in line with what Dave wanted culturally to being greedy and not caring about the employees in that department as long as leadership looked like it knew what it was doing. The lack of maturity in leadership trickled down to the admin / coaches and made for a very anxious, tense environment to work in. Ramsey says they are all about using the DISC to bring everyone’s strength’s to the table but in the ELP / Smartvestor division leadership uses it like a weapon so that everyone is scared to bring anything to management above them because you will be seen as not being a team player when in actuality there are serious concerns. Leadership doesn’t take into effect what their decisions to make quick money will have in the long term and when it is brought to their attention the employee is made to feel like it doesn’t matter as long as money is to be made.

Pros

Drinking the koolaid can be fun. It’s exciting to work for a guy who is a borderline a-hole but also a celebrity.

Cons

So many cliques! Executive board bases more decisions off of emotion than strategic. The worst part of this job was the horrible taste it left in my mouth for working for a Christian organization. One minute you’re a family and the next you raise a valid concern for something and you’re out. So much butt kissing and a huge fear to speak up because you don’t know who to trust. Honestly the first 6 months will feel like butterflies and rainbows but it’s not worth it.

We’re not perfect – no company is – we do our best to be transparent and build trust with one another. When a concern is raised with your direct leader and HR, we take it seriously and work through it together. We’re curious why didn’t you bring the matter up through either of those channels? We would have liked for you to see, up-close, the way our leadership arrives at strategic decisions. I welcome the opportunity to speak with you and make our company and even better place to work. Feel free to reach out to me, Armando”
