Pros
You’re given creative freedom to solve problems in your own way. It’s very much not a “here’s the job, now do it to this specification” type of role. You’re given the objective you’re meant to accomplish for the team you work with, and within reason, you’re empowered to work towards that objective. You’re challenged by leaders to grow, and are held accountable to a reasonable expectation. It’s a strong team environment on the email team, and it doesn’t feel “political”. I’d highly recommend the role.
Cons
There can definitely be busy seasons that can feel hectic. It’s not a role for someone that doesn’t like to be context-switched. It requires you to be agile and flexible, with a fairly liquid set of priorities. If you know that going into it, you’ll do fine.
