Pros

Outside experience; Great money; Work out with clients; Not crazy huge

Cons

The way they get you in there, is by the base salary they offer you. I enjoyed the relationships I built with clients, however, the way the company worked, and the sabotaging by our "partners" and how management was only out for themselves, and did not handle issues in a professional way made me regret ever working there in the first place. It's not what it's all cracked up to be. And unless you're a robot and are exactly what they want you to be, you won't last.

"Recruiter"

Pros

Liked my team mates, company does some crazy destination parties.

Cons

It was purely throwing junk at the wall and hoping it sticks, not recruiting what so ever. I went in with a wealth of serious recruiting experience and was over qualified for low level, CS staffing for the state. Salary was dismal and the commission structure was a joke. The metrics are absurd as well and it's not surprising why most of the "Recruiters" used to be baristas or work in retail before they became "Recruiters". If you like "interviewing" a ton of people without having an open job just so you can hit your numbers than this place is for you. If you like finding the RIGHT candidates for great jobs, this is not your cup of tea as you are forced to bring in candidates no matter what. I was happy to leave the "recruiter" position and found a killer Corporate Tech Recruiter position making triple the pay and actually making a difference in the company. All in all, if you want to get your feet wet in recruitment, this place would probably be an OK place to start but I wouldn't recommend it.

Pros

I honestly can't really think of much. Except you get to help people find jobs and the base pay isn't bad, but when you factor in all the work and stress they need to pay their employees more.

Cons

Management was horrible. They left me in a branch alone. They give warnings while you are in training. Absolutely no probationary period. Turnover is bad. They tend to forget different cities have different market trends. Too many time wasting conference calls and webinars. They are obsessed with role playing. The training is 6 months long and it's all long tests and webinars. Micromanagement even though they didn't have a manager in my location. They set you up for failure. They knew who they were hiring, people with little to no staffing experience yet they don't have a manager regularly on site to help. They overkill on sales. Lots of prospective clients decided to not use Randstad due to the amount of emails and phone calls they were receiving. Management makes fun of people that come in and apply. I've heard everything from that person is dumb or that person is stupid and the list goes on and on. Little respect of people or where they might come from. Overall terrible corporate structure. I felt like a number.
