Pros

Randstad is an international company with branches all over the world which is one of the more attractive things about the company.

Cons

The Randstad brandname is not as easily recognized as the other staffing firms in the US especially in the financial industry.

Pros

Stable company. Well funded. Humane attitude toward employees even during difficult times of change. A decent track record for promoting from within. Rewarded innovative thinking. Pay and perks were generous.

Cons

Company was still trying to decide on it's operational structure when I was there. Went through many extreme changes most of which were ultimately reversed in favor of the more traditional structure the company has today. Pushed many valuable people out the door needlessly by forcing square pegs into round holes. When structure wasn't working forced mid-level managers to do most of the dirty work in the form of mass layoffs.

Pros

If you have absolutely no other employment options. The pay was better than average. The have very few professional job options, but if you are needing a staffing agency for work that requires a high school diploma I would recommend them. They are a national organization and their reach is supposedly far. They offer competitive pay compared to other positions. They seem to have a lot of temporary and part time employment opportunities. They pay you weekly, which is nice.

Cons

Management is incompetant and unprofessional. The hiring process itself is ridiculous, I had to make 3 trips to their office, one of which pertinent information was exchanged. The manager of this particular branch was never there and could not be reached by phone. They did a horrendous job communicating news about the position. They lied about the benefits and length of the temporary postion. And they were down right rude, insulting, and demeaning to myself and the other temporary staff. They do not take their job seriously, and they lie about the work and benefits in order to hire staff.
